Admiral Maltings is a California-based malting facility located in Alameda that produces premium, hand-crafted malt for craft brewers and distillers. We partner with local family farms to source sustainably farmed barley and floor malt to create freshly kilned malt that enhances flavor and quality. Our facility, the first in California since Prohibition and the only certified organic malting operation in the state, combines modern technology with traditional practices to capture California's terroir. We support the craft beverage industry by providing high-quality ingredients, offering malthouse tours, and hosting events at our onsite pub. Our malts enable operators to craft distinctive beers and spirits while strengthening local agricultural connections and sustainability efforts.
