About

Assawaga Farm is a certified organic vegetable farm located in Connecticut where we grow a diverse range of vegetables, herbs, and fruits with an emphasis on Japanese varieties. We operate on a one-acre, no-till system that preserves soil health and promotes biodiversity by minimizing soil disturbance and relying on earthworms and micro-organisms. Our farm is built from the ground up with sustainable practices, including building infrastructure, drilling a well, and converting old hayfields into productive land. We supply fresh, nutritious produce directly to local markets, farmstands, and community-supported agriculture programs, supporting food systems that prioritize environmental stewardship and high-quality food production.
