About
Badger Mountain Vineyard, located in Kennewick, WA, is Washington State’s first certified organic winery, achieving USDA certification in 1990. Founded by Bill Powers in 1982, the vineyard spans 80 acres and produces a diverse range of organic wines, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Merlot, and Syrah. Committed to sustainable practices, Badger Mountain utilizes solar power, recycled biodiesel, lightweight glass, and recycled paper labels. Their wines are crafted without synthetic additives or added sulfites, ensuring a pure expression of the Columbia Valley terroir. The estate also houses Powers Winery, which produces wines from conventionally grown grapes, offering a complementary portfolio. Badger Mountain Vineyard serves both retail and foodservice sectors nationwide.
