Beauchemin Preservation Farm is a Maine-based organic farm established in 1998, specializing in preserving endangered breeds of farm animals, heritage fruits, and dye plants. We produce certified organic hay in small batches to support our sheep, goats, and equines through the winter, prioritizing ecological sustainability and habitat protection. Our farm raises endangered sheep breeds including California variegated, British soay, and Leicester longwool, and sells their wool and breeding stock. We also cultivate heritage small fruits, pelargoniums, and traditional dye plants like woad and madder. Our mission is to conserve traditional livestock and plant varieties, promote biodiversity, and educate visitors about sustainable farming practices in Maine.
