Cornell Orchards is a research farm located in Ithaca, New York, specializing in organic fruit cultivation and wine production. We operate on 78 acres with 22 acres dedicated to apples, grapes, stone fruits, berries, and chestnuts, including one certified organic acre. Our facilities include controlled atmosphere storage and a large fruit science laboratory supporting research and education. We collaborate on over 10 active projects annually, focusing on pollination enhancement, weed control, sustainable vineyard and orchard practices, and postharvest technologies. We serve as a living laboratory for Cornell students and provide industry partners with insights into sustainable fruit crop management, innovative cultivation techniques, and quality preservation methods to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
