Red Wiggler Care Farm is a 12-acre sustainable farm located in Germantown, Maryland, dedicated to inclusive community farming and therapeutic employment for adults with developmental disabilities. We cultivate organic vegetables, herbs, and flowers using environmentally responsible practices, and distribute half of our harvest to low-income households through our Harvest Share Program. Our farm employs over 15 individuals with disabilities, providing meaningful work that fosters independence and well-being. We support community engagement through farm tours, volunteer opportunities, and educational programs, while also building capacity for care farms nationwide via our Care Farming Network. Our mission centers on creating belonging, promoting food security, and advancing sustainable farming practices that benefit both people and the planet.
