Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Moundridge, Kansas, Tortilla King LLC produces and distributes flour and corn tortillas, tortilla chips, and salsas across the Midwest. As one of the largest tortilla manufacturers in the region, the company serves private-label clients, national retailers (e.g., Walmart, Hy-Vee), and foodservice operators, under brands like Mama Lupe’s, La Comida, and Lil’ Guy. After being majority-acquired by Flagship Food Group in 2021, Tortilla King maintains local leadership—including co-founder Juan Guardiola—and continues to expand capacity with recent investments to support growth, export, and diversified product offerings. Their facility operates five production lines and employs about 130 staff.
